"I have had the opportunity to work with Bob on multiple projects, both commercial and feature, and cannot extoll his talents as an artist and creative supervisor enough. As an artist, Bob combines a seasoned creative eye, both aesthetic and detailed, with high technical proficiency. He is a master at crafting the most effective solutions to almost any creative task. While this affords him to be completely self-managed as an artist, it truly compliments his ability as a creative supervisor. When leading a team, Bob possesses an open egalitarian style that solicits mutual respect and cooperation from his fellow artists. His personality is warm and approachable, maintaining a calm and manageable atmosphere even on the most difficult of projects. As a extraordinarily well balanced artist and digital supervisor, I highly recommend Bob." - M Theurer, Producer, New Deal Studios "Bob and I have collaborated on many projects at different capacities. He is the very definition of a renaissance man; his directorial skills are as well-honed as his visual effects abilities - whether he is supervising a show, generating 3D assets, or final scene integration. Bob knows how to bring visual fidelity to the forefront of any project he tackles - making him a reliable person of action that understands the full scope of film and television and continuously pushes the boundaries of what is possible in media and visual arts at a capacity that sets the bar for Hollywood content creation." - Nicholas Daniels, Flame Artist & Nuke Supervisor "Bob is a great artist and wonderfully talented. Dedicated, hard working and easy to get a long with. If you have anything that needs done in the VFX world, he can do it or gather around him the people who can." - Matt Dean, Owner, Matt Dean Films Inc. "I've had the pleasure of working with Bob in multiple venues. He's an outstanding communicator that is passionate about his work and the ability of other people to excel in their performances as well. In his time with us, he made several suggestions about focusing the team and getting more people on the same page more quickly. He's accomplished in so many fields, he's a bit of a Renaissance Man, but that lends credibility to whatever he sets his mind to. Sword fighting to simulations, he's been there and done that. Would love to work with him again." James Hattin, Creative Director at Legion Studios "I have worked with Robert on many projects on major feature films and Bob has always been the most dedicated and easy to work with artist and supervisor. He is extremely hands on and has a keen eye for problem solving and getting the work done on time and most importantly done well. Bob is unique in that he has been on both sides of the camera as both a performer and managing on set production and also handling post. As such he has a huge wealth of knowledge and experience that is invaluable no matter the project or the task. Biggest thing for me is Bob is super cool under pressure and just a lovely person to work with that brings a lot of joy to the team." - Jeffrey Jasper, Comp Supervisor at New Deal Studio "I first worked with Robert Chapin when he joined our team at Hammerhead Productions for "Tokyo Drift: The Fast and The Furious 3" Although I was the Digital Effects Supervisor for that project, Bob required absolutely NO supervision whatsoever... He figured out what needed to be done, interfaced directly with the other artists, and created perfect elements for all of the shots that required his artistic touch. I would not hesitate to work with Bob again on any future project... not for a second. He is really THAT good." - Thomas Dadras, Motion Pictures and Film Consultant and Professional "Robert has a rare combination of talents - Great eye, always listening, and never loses his cool. You can count on Bob to have a well conceived solution to just about any problem. His calm yet focused demeanor makes him a fantastic leader and his ability to create lean manageable methodology is invaluable to a crew. Bob is a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend him." - Dan Levitan, Visual Effects Supervisor "Robert is a VFX veteran who brings valuable experience to each project. Having been in front of as well as behind the camera, Bob has a unique perspective that allows him to see how effects are going to work in the entire pipeline." - Lochlon Johnston, Visual Effects Professional "Robert is a brilliant vfx artist with years of experience that continues to teach me new tricks and techniques every time I have the chance to work with him. He is a great asset to any company." - Justin Jones, VFX Supervisor at Tau Films "Bob Chapin has worked for Hammerhead on several projects, including The Chronicles of Riddick, Fast and Furious 3, and Fantastic 4. He has the rare ability to ask just the right questions to find out what needs to be done, then make all the right decisions on his own on his way to making high-quality visual effects elements and shots, that are right the first time. He has a good command of a variety of difficult-to-master tools, and a judicious artistic eye. His wide experience in filmmaking outside of visual effects give him valuable perspective. This background, along with his intelligence and easy-going personality, make him a natural leader in any situation he finds himself in." - Thad Beier, Director of Image Platform Workflow at Dolby Laboratories "Bob Chapin was an invaluable member of our CG team on a package of three very involved AT+T spots. He was instrumental in helping develop an approach to the various spots that was cost and time effective. He's a team player as well, and a pleasure to work with." - Scott Siegal, VFX Producer "Robert is a very talented CGI Artist who I had the good fortune to work with on many projects. Two of my favourites: Devil's Advocate and American Beauty!" - Fortunato Frattasio, Compositing Instructor | Visual Effects Artist "I've had the pleasure of working with Bob at Cinesite, Hammerhead, and New Deal Studios where he was helping to start up their VFX division. He has an incredible aptitude for creating stunning Visual Effects and a sharp eye for details. In addition to his wealth of knowledge in film production, Bob is also great guy to work with and I have an enormous amount of respect for the things he has accomplished in his career." - Jeff Benoit, Previs/VFX Artist
